I now have six short films from the first two years of my existence. I managed to get 6 reels of film digitized and onto DVD tonight. This stuff is so fragile, the film falls apart so easily if there is the slightest nick or bend in the film. I left 6 other reels in questionable condition alone after one of them jammed and broke. I'll splice some more lead film to the start of the remaining reels to help prevent them from jamming when loading.
A lot of the films are already a collection of shots spliced together. The splicing is done quite well, my dad must have spent a lot of time putting them together.
