I went up to Metrotown today (well, yesterday given that it's after 3am now) to pick up a T-shirt from American Eagle that I've been wanting. I've seen a few people wearing this shirt when I've gone out dancing, so I had to jump on the bandwagon and get one for myself.Afterwards, I walked over to T&T to get more frozen pork dumplings and just happened to walk past an art gallery on the way. I've been wanting to get some art to put on my walls in my new apartment, and I've already picked out a few prints online that interest me. Shipping a framed print is ridiculously expensive, so I walked in to see what it would cost to get the print framed locally if I just get the print online. I ended up buying two pieces of art. One is a 1948 Salvador Dali print titled The Elephants and the other is a more recent print by Justin Bua titled El Guitarrista. I was planning to get some of Dali's other work.. either his 1937 Swans Reflecting Elephants or Metamorphosis of Narcissus, but that would have been much more expensive than what they had sitting in the gallery. That Dali was one crazy guy, but his artwork are excellent conversation pieces and are certainly going to draw attention when I have people over. Plus, now I have something to give my white walls some character!

I never did make it to the T&T. I ended up leaving the art gallery at 9pm when the mall closed. The pork buns will have to wait for next time.
